Lincoln Theatre, 769 E. Long St. , Columbus, Ohio

Columbus-based composer, recording artist, and drummer Mark Lomax II and his musical compatriots perform selections from his 12-album cycle 400: An Afrikan Epic. Supported by a Wexner Center Artist Residency Award, this ambitious project tells the story of black America stretching from precolonial Afrika, through the 400 years after the start of the Transatlantic slave trade in 1619, and into the Afrofuture while celebrating the creativity of a people who continue to endure.
